This new project is born from the intersection of music and dance as living, improvised languages in constant transformation. Together with the magnetic dancer Karen Lugo, Maureen Choi embarks on a profound and free exploration of contemporary flamenco, weaving new forms of dialogue between sound and movement. Inspired by the legacy of Paco de Lucía y Camarón and flamenco tradition, as well as composers such as Manuel de Falla, Béla Bartók, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Ravel, both artists embrace tradition without losing sight of experimentation.
