BIO

The life of Alana Sinkey, singer and songwriter, is woven with threads of art and passion.
Born in Lisbon in 1990, her musical destiny was set from an early age.
His father Bidinte, a respected musician from Guinea-Bissau, inspired him to build his career in music.
At 16, Alana moved to Madrid where she immersed herself in the Spanish capital's music scene as an autodidact, forging her path through experience and passion.

Her love of music led her to explore different genres and styles. Her influences include Caetano Veloso, Luis Alberto Spinetta, and Björk.  

Alana was part of projects such as Cosmosoul and Patax, fusing jazz, flamenco, funk, and neo-soul. After 13 years of group career, Alana Sinkey now embarks on an exciting solo stage.

Collaborations:

It is worth highlighting her collaboration in recordings and performances with Alejandro Sanz, Jorge Drexler, Shakira, Eva Yerbabuena, Nuevo Ballet Español, Alfredo Rodríguez, as well as her participation in the first edition of the Latin Grammy Sessions Flamencas, where she stars in an audiovisual piece alongside Arcángel and Javier Limón.

First Album

Alana Sinkey It opens the doors to its inner world in an immersive experience marked by the different nuances of its musical universe.

The show offers an intimate and warm staging, where a format of four musicians - percussion, guitar and keyboard and voice - unveil the author's original compositions in a close and immersive environment.

The songs, performed in Portuguese and Spanish and Guinea-Bissau Creole, address various themes that run through Sinkëy's work: from the emotional introspection and affective relationships in tracks like Zahora - the first single from the new album record-, Amapola or Deixar-me Cuidar; until the nostalgia, memory and connection with one's roots African women in songs like Midju Preto, where the The artist approaches motherhood, or Carnival, which It evokes the longing inherent in the migrant experience.

The repertoire is also a celebration of the musical influences that form the identity of Alana Sinkey: the folklore of Guinea-Bissau dialogues with jazz, soul and flamenco, also incorporating subtle elements electronics that bring freshness and contemporaneity to the proposal.

The artist's profound interpretive quality stands out in particular, capable of to lead the listener to the emotional core of each story on a journey where the voice becomes the main expressive vehicle.
